Charis Papaevangelou

Charis Papaevangelou is pursuing a PhD on the political economy of digital platforms regulation at the University of Toulouse III as part of the JOLT project. His aim is to unpack the labyrinthine concept of online platforms and explore the dynamics forged between media, platforms and politics. He has a BA in Communication, Media and Culture from Panteion University in Athens and an MA in New Media & Digital Culture from the University of Utrecht. In 2019 he presented his work on platformisation at the 4th Creative & Cultural Industries Conference in Thessaloniki, Greece. He has also co-written a chapter with dr. Yannis Skarpelos and Elina Roinioti in the upcoming collective volume “Digital Games,” which will be part of the 1st year curriculum at Panteion University.
